How to read this chart
Each point represents one model, body-style and drivetrain series. The Combined study blends matched series’ rates using 33% from 2020 and 67% from 2023; unmatched series retain their original rates and year labels.
Driver rates concern the named vehicle’s driver. Other-driver rates concern drivers of other vehicles in collisions with it. The Total fatality rate is their sum. Rates are adjusted for driver age and gender and exclude passengers.
